Sesil Karatantcheva, Miss World Bulgaria 2016, and the national wheelchair tennis champion – Zoya Chavdarova, supported Holiday Heroes’ charity event, part of the Sport with a Mission series
This Saturday, November 26th, Holiday Heroes and their partners from Active Alliance and Arena Tennis organized their first joint project – a charity tennis tournament between companies and amateurs. 16 teams took part in the contest, among which were the representative crews of TPP AES Galabovo, BULPROS, SOPHARMA, OMZ, Stephen George International Bulgaria, Printcom, Advanced Nutrients, АТМ’91, Tara Car, Afrodita-99, Transland, who competed in two categories – men’s doubles and mixed doubles. Patrick Vulchev and Kamen Mezdrashki from Bulpros became the men’s doubles champs, and the winners in the mixed doubles were Elvira Todorova and Iliyan Velkovski from ATM’91 LTD.
The charity tennis tournament was kindly hosted by the Bulgarian National Tennis Centre (BNTC) in the renovated Sofia sports hall. The Secretary General of the Bulgarian Tennis Federation, Katerina Genova, personally greeted the participants for supporting the cause and wished them luck and fair play. The event was held with the support of HEAD and Diogen. The winners received special presents from Denim, Leocrema, and Antonio Banderas. Pepsi, Stela Artois, and Aladin Foods procured refreshments and yummy pizza for the participants.
All funds raised at the charity tennis tournament will be spent on foodstuffs for the holiday boxes that will be delivered to thousands of families in need this Christmas 2016.
