Nestlé Won the Holiday Heroes’ Tournament for the Third Time

Special guests of the event were the beautiful Elitsa Vassileva, Simeon Alexandrov, and Georgi Manchev who gave his outfit from the national team as a present. Holiday Heroes and Sport Volley announced the launch of the first National Volleyball Business League this fall.

The charity beach volleyball tournament from the “Sports with a Mission” series brought together again dozens of contestants and volleyball fans at Sport Volley playgrounds in the town of Bozhurishte. Twelve teams representing socially responsible companies took part in the competition, kindly hosted again by Dobromir Lazarov. All funds raised in the tournament will be donated for the “Christmas 2016″ campaign. Among the special guests of the event were one of our most beautiful volleyball players—Elitsa Vassileva, and Simeon Alexandrov. They drew lots for the team distribution into groups and wished good luck to the participants. The national player Georgi Manchev also supported the event and gave his outfit from the national team as a present.

For the third consecutive year Nestlé’s team became the champions winning the cup in a contested final with Visteon. Third and fourth ranked the teams of Merck and Right Rental. Other teams who joined in the race were DB Schenker, Strypes, Vivacom, Advanced Nutrients, Right Rental, SBTech, and InTime who had enrolled three teams for the game!

Besides the cup, the champions also received special prizes—kneepads provided by Ottobock, chargers from Canyon, and cosmetic kits from STR8. Throughout the day all guests and players could chill out in the shade of the tents provided by Right Rental, and Carotten gave away sunscreen products and after-sun shower gels to all participants. Refreshing drinks from Florina, ayran and milk shakes from Danone, ice tea from Lactima Balkan, and ice-creams from Nestlé were offered to everyone. Restaurant “Victoria” took care for the delicious lunch delivered so quickly by InTime that the pizzas were still hot. In the afternoon Aladin Foods treated the guests with their much-loved doner wraps.

During the opening of the tournament Rositsa Tomova—Holiday Heroes’ manager, and Dobromir Lazarov—host of the event, shared their plans that the traditional beach volleyball tournaments would become a year-round event. They announced that a national volleyball business league for corporate teams would be launched this fall. The participation fees will be used to support the Holiday Heroes’ cause. More details about the league will be available soon at
