The first leg of the Future Talent school-students’ contest set up in partnership with eMAG closed a minute to midnight yesterday. All school prodigies to compete for a chance in the finals are picked out.
What’s next? An expert jury of five will assess the selected contenders’ skills and knowledge and announce the top 20 talents by November 10th on the Future Talent website and Facebook page. The final round to choose the 5 winners will be on November 15th, Sunday. Before the great day comes, the organizers will get in touch with all qualifiers to give them more details.
The 5 champions will each get a 3,000 BGN scholarship from eMAG, and runner-ups – tablets by the same sponsor. The online learning platform Уча.се (I Study) will provide all 20 finalists with free annual access to its content and award every participant with a one-month free subscription to online video lessons.
Evaluation criteria to determine prize-winners are available on the contest’s website. Ognyan Lahchev, representing the organizer eMAG online store, will rate the young competitors’ knack for business and ability to think out of the box. Rositsa Tomova from Holiday Heroes, together with the founder of Уча.се Darin Madzharov, will focus on the contestants’ motivation and achievements. There will be special guests on the jury – singer and music therapist Yoanna Dragneva and young entrepreneur Lyubomir Yanchev. Lyubomir, a gifted engineer who won 1 million leva to invest in his start-up business when he was only 20, will have a say in the rating of the finalists’ knowledge of Mathematics and Informatics, entrepreneurial spirit, and drive for success. Yoanna on the other hand will be assessing the participants’ strive to develop their potential and talent in pursuit of their bold ideas and plans for the future.
