Ubisoft Sofia’s team who took part in the global charity gaming marathon Ubisoft Charity Jam raised BGN 5, 446 in support of Holiday Heroes. Thus the creators of some of the most favorite video games worldwide managed to attain their goal to help thousands of families with children in need celebrate Christmas 2015 around a full festive table.
The event on September 24th in Ubisoft’s Bulgarian studio was the climax of the team’s charity agenda! It was streamed live on Ubisoft’s Twitch channel and hosted by one of the most esteemed figures among Bulgarian gamers, and also one of the first Holiday Heroes—Roro Kavaljiev. For an hour Ubisoft Sofia’s team played pro bono to ensure there will be food on the tables of needy Bulgarian families this Christmas. They kicked off the battle with the popular Assassin’s Creed Rogue, continued with Rayman Legends, leaving Just Dance Now for the end. In every game participants also had to face a host of hilarious challenges.
Ubisoft Charity Jam’s start was this Monday, September 21st. On the very next day Ubisoft Sofia initiated three drives to raise funds for Holiday Heroes’ mission. Among these, as part of Next TV’s regular Gaming Knights event, was an auction of limited-edition items, including an exquisite ring and Edward Kenway action figure. In addition, on Wednesday the developers organized a charity bazaar, where all funds raised were doubled by the company.
